The Big Ben Theory (TBBT) looks at issues relating to the Middle East, politics, terrorism, history and other seemingly insolvable issues. It is written by me, Ben-Zion (Ben) Jaffe.
The Big Ben Theory is the grown-up version of my old “Big Jew on Campus” blog that appeared on the Jerusalem Post‘s website from 2005-2009. The Big Ben Theory generally feeds content to my blog at the Jerusalem Post of the same name.
I have an academic background in counter-terrorism, history and political science. Professionally, I have experience as a journalist, writer and in public relations. I’m originally from New York and have lived and worked in other interesting places such as Australia, Israel and New Jersey.
Dear Ben,
Heartfelt congratulations for both content and style!
I was most impressed with the level of enthusiasm you demonstrate for the main TBBT issues; with how knowledgeably you manage to articulate your views, corroborating them with facts and well-reasoned arguments. And with a bit of humor to boot! Most of all: congratulations for focusing your skills and energy in such a positive and constructive way. May you always retain a balanced approach to different sides of the argument, appreciating views which are unlike yours, and which may frequently coincide with my own.
Good luck and lots of success in all your future endeavors!
